No.  On September 26th of 2013, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau denied WC Docket No. 09-144, making it clear that prison phone providers cannot block ConsCallHome calls because of 'security' issues or because they feel that Millicorp and ConsCallHome is not able to provide secure phone lines under FCC regulations.

Unlike other companies, ConsCallHome (through its parent company, Millicorp) has been actively working with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for several years to end the inappropriate blocking of inmate calls.  The ruling from the FCC which was adopted on September 26, 2013, states that blocking the calls of ConsCallHome customers is not allowed.  More information on why ConsCallHome numbers cannot be blocked can be found [HERE].

Of course.  Adding additional minutes is very easy and can be done with the ConsCallHome Portal (online) or by calling one of our customer service representatives.  If you have gone over your monthly minutes or just want to add more, you can add them at anytime and the per minute charge is based on your plan.

ConsCallHome provides an added convenience that’s called Auto-Load.  Auto-Load is an optional feature that will automatically add minutes if you happen to go over your minute plan.

Note:  The credit card you have on file will only be charged if you have exceeded your minute usage for the month and have activated the Auto-Load feature.

No, in fact on September 26 2013 the FCC’s Wireline Bureau released a ruling stating: ConsCallHome provides its subscribers with Voice over IP (VoIP) phone numbers and is not a call diversion service. Under Order DA 13-1990, the blocking of a ConsCallHome number is NOT AUTHORIZED regardless of whether or not the phone number is a local number or a non-local number to the correctional facility.  Read in full [HERE].

To get the best number for you to talk with your inmate, we need to know where he or she is located.  Then we can provide the right number for you that offers the lowest telephone rates near your loved one's facility.

ConsCallHome provides phone numbers that will help you save money at facilities nationwide and typically we have those numbers available immediately.  Although we have numbers even in the most remote areas, there are times when we may be out of 'number stock'.

If this occurs, we must locate the number and usually it arrives within one to seven days.  To identify that your number hasn’t been issued yet, a status of 'Back Order' will be placed on the account until it arrives.

This happens frequently and we certainly can help you.  Again we will need to know the name of the jail/prison where you inmate has been transferred.  This allows us to issue the best number for that jail/prison and helps us provide the lowest rate for you.

Note: There is a $5.00 transfer fee, but you can continue your service as it was originally set up.
